A flavorful Turkish-inspired pasta dish featuring spiced ground beef, creamy yogurt sauce, and aromatic butter drizzle.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 300 grams pasta

Olive Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Onion

  • 1 large large onion (chopped)

Garlic

  • 2 cloves cloves garlic (minced)

Tomato Paste

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

Ground Beef

  • 450 grams ground beef

Salt

  • 1.5 teaspoons salt

Black Pepper

  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Cumin

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

Paprika

  • 2 teaspoons paprika

Oregano

  • 2 teaspoons oregano

Pul Biber (Red Pepper Flakes)

  • 1 teaspoon pul biber (red pepper flakes)

Tomatoes (Pureed or Canned)

  • 2 medium medium tomatoes (pureed)

Yogurt

  • 200 grams yogurt

Garlic (Mashed)

  • 2 cloves cloves garlic (mashed)

Lemon Juice

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Butter

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Olive Oil (for butter sauce)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Dried Mint

  • 2 teaspoons dried mint

Paprika (for butter sauce)

  • 2 teaspoons paprika

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil and sauté onions until soft. Add garlic and tomato paste, cook for a minute. Add ground beef and spices, cook until browned. Stir in pureed tomatoes and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Mix yogurt, mashed garlic, salt, and lemon juice in a bowl to make the yogurt sauce.
  • Melt butter with olive oil, add mint and paprika, cook briefly until fragrant.
  • Assemble: Divide pasta, top with beef sauce, add yogurt sauce, drizzle with butter sauce, and garnish as desired.

Notes

You can adjust spice levels with extra pul biber for more heat.
