Ingredients

Protein

  • 4 pieces Tuna steaks

Oil

  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil

Sweetener

  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Condiment

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce

Juice

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Garlic

  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

Salt

  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt

Black pepper

  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Instructions 

  • Whisk together olive oil, honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Rinse and pat dry tuna steaks; place in a dish or bag. Pour marinade over and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat skillet or grill; remove tuna from marinade, discard excess marinade.
  • Sear tuna for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and slightly pink inside.
  • Let rest for 2 minutes, then serve immediately with optional garnishes.

Notes

Marinate the tuna for at least 30 minutes for best flavor.
