Instructions
Combine water, lemon juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, cardamom, thyme, and garlic in a bowl.
Pour marinade into a bag, add tuna steaks, and coat evenly. Marinate for 20 minutes at room temperature.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steaks from marinade and cook each side for about 2 minutes, brushing with marinade.
Check that internal temperature reaches 125°F, then rest for 2 minutes before serving.
