A flavorful and quick Asian-inspired dish combining tender shrimp, colorful peppers, and savory teriyaki sauce over noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti (or noodles of your choice)
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 bell peppers (yellow) bell peppers (yellow)
  • 1 yellow onion yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves garlic cloves (minced)
  • cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sriracha

Instructions 

  • Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • Marinate shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Prepare teriyaki sauce by mixing ingredients in a bowl.
  • Sauté bell peppers, then add onion and garlic; pour in sauce and simmer.
  • Sear shrimp, add to sauce, then toss with cooked noodles. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
