A comforting and hearty dish featuring seasoned ground meat topped with creamy mashed sweet potatoes, perfect for a cozy family dinner.

Instructions
Steam or boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash with butter, 1/4 tsp salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Cook ground meat with onions and vegetables in a skillet until browned and softened, about 10-15 minutes.
Stir in garlic, remaining salt, pepper, thyme, and chili powder; cook for 1 minute.
Layer meat mixture in a casserole dish, top with mashed sweet potatoes, and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
Serve hot after baking.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a sprinkle of cheese on top before baking.
