Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (extra-lean)
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil (optional)
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 2 stalks Green Onions (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Neutral Oil (Canola or Avocado)

Instructions 

  • Mince garlic, chop green onions, and measure all ingredients.
  • Heat neutral oil in a skillet, add garlic until fragrant (~30 seconds).
  • Add ground turkey, cook until browned (~5-7 minutes).
  • Lower heat, stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil; cook until thickened (~2-3 minutes).
  • Stir in red pepper flakes and green onions, cook for another minute.
  • Serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice before serving.
