A comforting classic with a lean turkey twist, topped with creamy mashed potatoes and cheese.

Mashed Potatoes

russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

sour cream or Greek yogurt

shredded cheddar cheese, optional

Instructions
Cook onions in oil until softened, then add turkey, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until turkey is browned.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste; cook briefly. Add flour, then broth and vegetables; simmer until thickened.
Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter, milk, and sour cream. Season to taste.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread mashed potatoes over turkey mixture, top with cheese if desired, and bake for 20 minutes. Rest, garnish, and serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the mashed potatoes.
