This flavorful grilled salmon is infused with fresh lemon and herbs, perfect for a healthy and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 fillets skin-on salmon fillets (6 ounces / 170 grams each)
  • 2 large lemons (juiced and zested)
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill
  • 1 teaspoon chopped thyme (or rosemary as a substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions 

  • Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillets, removing pin bones.
  • Whisk lemon juice, zest, olive oil, garlic, honey, herbs, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Marinate salmon in the mixture for 15-30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high, oil grates, and grill salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes.
  • Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until flaky and internal temp reaches 145°F.
  • Rest briefly, then serve with lemon wedges and herbs.

Notes

For best flavor, do not overcook the salmon.
