Meat
1lbsirloin, flank, or ribeye steak, sliced thin(sliced thin)
Pasta
12ozpenne or rigatoni pasta
Liquids
2cupsbeef broth
1cupheavy cream
1cupdiced tomatoes canned or fresh
Other ingredients
1tbspolive oil
1smallonion, chopped
2clovesgarlic, minced
1tspItalian seasoning
Salt and pepper
to tasteSalt and pepper
½cupgrated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
optionalFresh basil or parsley(for garnish)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pot, cook sliced steak until browned, then set aside.
Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
Add beef broth, heavy cream, diced tomatoes, pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer 10-12 minutes until pasta is tender.
Return steak to the pot, stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Garnish with herbs if desired, then serve.
