Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas (mashed until smooth)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (at room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9.5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment.
  • Mash bananas until smooth. Mix in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Fold into wet mixture.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

For extra moistness, let the bread cool completely before slicing.
