A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender ground beef, fresh lemon, and garlic, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound 90/10 lean ground beef

Pasta

  • 12 ounces pasta of your choice (spaghetti, penne, or linguine)

Oil

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Garlic

  • 8 cloves garlic, minced

Lemon Zest

  • 2 medium lemons zest of lemons (about 2 tablespoons)

Lemon Juice

  • 2 medium lemons juice of lemons (about 4-5 tablespoons)

Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Salt and Pepper

  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Parmesan Cheese

  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Parsley

  • for garnish Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted water until 1 minute before tender, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook 30 seconds.
  • Add ground beef, brown for 5-7 minutes, then stir in lemon zest.
  • Pour in lemon juice, cook 1 minute, then add pasta and some reserved water, toss to coat.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan, toss again, and season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
