pasta of your choice (spaghetti, penne, or linguine)

Garlic

Lemon Zest

zest of lemons
(about 2 tablespoons)
Lemon Juice

juice of lemons
(about 4-5 tablespoons)
Red Pepper Flakes

Salt and Pepper

Parmesan Cheese

freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
Cook pasta in salted water until 1 minute before tender, then drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook 30 seconds.
Add ground beef, brown for 5-7 minutes, then stir in lemon zest.
Pour in lemon juice, cook 1 minute, then add pasta and some reserved water, toss to coat.
Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan, toss again, and season with salt and pepper before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
