Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions 

  • Combine broccoli, chicken broth, garlic, and onion powder in a large pot. Bring to a boil and simmer until broccoli is tender.
  • Puree the soup with an immersion blender to desired consistency.
  • Add heavy cream, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese; stir until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or a dash of hot sauce.
