Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 large French or Italian bread
  • 1 stick butter (softened)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  • Mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly over the bread halves.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
