  • 2 fillets skin-on salmon fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chives
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 lemon lemon slices

Instructions 

  • Mix softened butter, herbs, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until combined.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat salmon dry and line a baking sheet with parchment. Arrange lemon slices.
  • Slide half of the herbed butter under the skin of each fillet and spread remaining butter over the top.
  • Place salmon skin-side down on lemon slices and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and flaky.
  • Let rest for 3-5 minutes, then serve with baked lemon slices and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. Adjust baking time based on fillet thickness.
