A delicious and healthy apple cake that's low in calories and fat, perfect for a quick and nutritious treat.

Ingredients

Apples

  • 1200 g apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 180 g whole wheat flour
  • 60 g maple syrup
  • 120 g oat milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs eggs
  • 20 g butter (cut into thin pieces for crust)
  • 20 g sugar (spread on top for crust)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (355°F).
  • Mix dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon.
  • Whisk eggs and maple syrup until light, then add oat milk and mix.
  • Combine wet and dry mixtures, fold in sliced apples, pour into baking pan.
  • Top with butter pieces and sprinkle sugar for crust, then bake for 60 minutes.

Notes

For a lower-calorie version, skip the butter and sugar topping.
