A quick and flavorful stir fry combining ground turkey with a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Sauces and liquids

  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 T brown sugar
  • 1 cup water, divided
  • 2 T honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated or minced
  • 2 T corn starch
  • 1 T orange zest

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots

Seasoning

  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, water, honey, garlic, ginger, corn starch, and orange zest to make the sauce.
  • Cook ground turkey in a skillet with sesame oil until browned.
  • Add broccoli, onion, and carrots; stir-fry until vegetables are tender.
  • Pour in the sauce and cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen broccoli based on availability for best results.
