A flavorful and quick rice bowl featuring savory ground beef drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

olive oil

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

onion

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

garlic

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

ground beef

  • 1 lb ground beef

cooked rice

  • 3 cups cooked rice (white or jasmine)

hot honey

  • 1/4 cup hot honey

soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

ground black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

salt

  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

green onions

  • 2 green onions green onions, sliced (garnish)

sesame seeds

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (garnish)

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent, 3–4 minutes.
  • Add ground beef; cook until browned, 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in hot honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, paprika, pepper, and salt; simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Add cooked rice; stir and cook 2 minutes until warmed.
  • Serve in bowls, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust salt and hot honey to taste for preferred spice level.
