Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound large raw prawns, peeled and deveined

Carbohydrate

  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Aromatics

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 small shallot, diced

Fats

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Herbs

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

  • 1 medium lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions 

  • Pat prawns dry and season with half the salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil and butter, add garlic and shallot; cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add prawns, season, and sauté 2 minutes per side until opaque.
  • Stir in cooked rice, toss to coat with aromatics and juices.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle herbs, toss briefly, and serve with lemon wedges.
