A delicious and creamy shrimp pasta dish packed with flavor and perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces linguine noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter (used in parts)

Shrimp

  • 1 pound raw shrimp (frozen, peeled, and deveined)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning (or substitute with smoked paprika or cajun spices)
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (also known as double cream in the UK)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions 

  • Cook the linguine noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp, salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. Cook until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  • Pour in heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly. Add cooked pasta and chopped parsley, tossing to combine.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional parsley or grated cheese before serving.
