A quick and flavorful tuna salad with a spicy kick, perfect for a light lunch or snack.

Ingredients

Canned Tuna

  • 1 can tuna in oil or water, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • ½ cup cucumber, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • ½ lime juice of lime
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • ¼ avocado diced (optional)
  • 1 small celery stalk, chopped (optional)
  • chopped jalapeño for more kick (optional)

Instructions 

  • Drain and flake the tuna, then place in a bowl.
  • Whisk together mayo, sriracha, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the creamy base.
  • Add the creamy mixture to the tuna and fold in cucumber, red onion, green onion, and optional ingredients.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with more sriracha, chili flakes, salt, or lime juice as desired.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to meld flavors.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
