This delicious slow cooker beef and broccoli recipe is a quick and easy way to enjoy a flavorful Asian-inspired meal at home, better than takeout!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak (cut into thin strips)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • ⅓ cup Brown Sugar
  • 3-5 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 3-4 cups broccoli (florets)
  • green onions sliced for garnish

Instructions 

  • Place beef strips, beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and sesame oil into the slow cooker. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  • Mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry, then stir into the slow cooker. Cook for an additional 15 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Add broccoli florets to the slow cooker and cook for 10-15 minutes until tender.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, add more cornstarch slurry. Serve over rice for a complete meal.
