Ingredients

Vegetable Oil

Ground Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef

Spices and Seasonings

  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1.2 tsp paprika
  • 1.2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.2 tsp oregano
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.125 tsp cayenne pepper

Tomato Paste

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

Beef Broth

  • 0.5 cup beef broth

Tortillas

  • 8 pieces flour tortillas

Cheese Blend

  • 1 cup cheese blend

Tomatoes

  • 2 pieces tomatoes

Red Onion

  • 1 piece red onion

Cilantro

  • 0.25 cup cilantro

Sour Cream

  • 0.33 cup sour cream

Lime

  • 1 piece lime

Guacamole

  • guacamole (as needed)

Pico de Gallo

  • pico de gallo (as needed)

Refried Beans

  • refried beans (as side)

Instructions 

  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, then stir in spices and tomato paste.
  • Pour in beef broth and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Warm tortillas and assemble tacos with beef, cheese, and toppings.
  • Serve with fresh cilantro, sour cream, lime, guacamole, pico de gallo, and refried beans.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime and fresh cilantro.
