Crunchy, sweet, and customizable granola clusters perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Wet ingredients

  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry ingredients

  • 3 cups old-fashioned (rolled) oats
  • 1 cup sliced or slivered almonds
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine maple syrup, coconut oil, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan; heat for 4-5 minutes until warm and whisked together.
  • Mix oats, almonds, coconut flakes, pecans, and sunflower seeds in a large bowl. Pour the warm syrup mixture over and toss to coat.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared sheet, press down gently, and bake for 25 minutes. Rotate the pan and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  • Break into clusters and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Pressing the granola before baking helps it form clusters.
