A flavorful and creamy shrimp rice bowl that combines tender shrimp with rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes ((adjust to taste))
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions 

  • Cook the jasmine rice in chicken broth until tender, then fluff and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet, sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes, then cook shrimp with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until pink, about 4-6 minutes. Remove shrimp.
  • Add heavy cream to the skillet, simmer, then stir in remaining butter, Parmesan, and lemon juice until thickened. Return shrimp to coat with sauce.
  • Serve the shrimp over rice, garnish with parsley, and add lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Adjust red pepper flakes for spice preference and serve immediately for best flavor.
