A delicious and creamy pasta dish featuring ground beef, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz penne pasta

Meat

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

Cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream

Garlic and Onion

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced

Cheese and Seasonings

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

Oil

  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and reserve 1 cup of water.
  • Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant (~5 min).
  • Add ground beef, cook until browned (~7 min), season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning.
  • Lower heat, stir in heavy cream, add reserved pasta water to reach desired sauce consistency, then mix in Parmesan until melted.
  • Combine pasta with sauce, toss gently, serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
