A warm, creamy soup combining the sweetness of apples and butternut squash with aromatic spices, perfect for cozy days.

Instructions
Heat olive oil in a pot, cook onion until softened, then add garlic and cook 1 minute.
Add squash and apples, cook 4-5 minutes, then pour in stock and bring to boil.
Simmer 15-20 minutes until squash is tender, then blend until smooth.
Return puree to pot, stir in spices, salt, pepper, and simmer 5 minutes.
Add half and half, stir, and serve hot with optional garnishes.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute chicken stock with vegetable stock and half and half with coconut milk.
