A quick and flavorful chicken stir fry with colorful vegetables and savory sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (sliced into thin strips)

Oil

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or sesame oil)

Vegetables

  • 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots (julienned or sliced)
  • ½ cup snap peas
  • ½ cup mushrooms (sliced)

Aromatics

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)

Seasonings & Sauces

  • ½ teaspoon salt and pepper (to taste)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for thickening)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

Instructions 

  • Slice chicken into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, honey, and cornstarch to make the sauce.
  • Cook chicken in hot oil until browned, then set aside.
  • Sauté garlic and ginger, then add vegetables and stir-fry until crisp-tender.
  • Return chicken to pan, add sauce, and cook until thickened. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions before serving.
