Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
Mix dry ingredients; set aside. Cream butter, oil, and sugars until fluffy. Add vanilla and sour cream; combine. Add eggs one at a time, then dry ingredients and milk; fold in chopped apples. Fill liners and bake 15-18 minutes.
Beat butter for frosting, gradually add powdered sugar and caramel sauce until smooth. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes, drizzle with caramel, and decorate with apple slices.
