Instructions
Brown 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan over medium heat until foam turns brown, then cool slightly.
Prepare caramel: melt butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar; add apples and cream, simmer until soft. Pour into prepared pan.
Mix dry ingredients; in a mixer, beat sugar, browned butter, vanilla, then eggs. Alternate adding flour and milk, scraping sides.
Arrange apples over caramel in the pan, then pour batter on top. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55-60 minutes.
