These delicious gluten-free, dairy-free protein bars are perfect for a quick, healthy snack packed with flavor and nutrients.
Ingredients
Base

cups
almond butter
(or other nut butter)

maple syrup

vanilla extract

cinnamon

sea salt

flaxseed meal

unflavored, unsweetened protein powder
(any kind)

sesame seeds

dairy-free dark chocolate
(chopped or chips (approx 1 cup))
Optional Garnish
flaky sea salt
(for garnish)
Instructions
Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
Mix almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla in a bowl. Add cinnamon, sea salt, flaxseed meal, and protein powder; stir well.
Stir in sesame seeds, then press mixture into the pan and smooth the top. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler. Pour over the set mixture and spread evenly. Chill until chocolate is firm.
Cut into bars and store in fridge or freezer. Optional: sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
Notes
Press mixture firmly into the pan for best cohesion and refrigerate to set.
