Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 1 head butter or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

Optional toppings

Instructions 

  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and water chestnuts; cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, stir in green onions, and serve in lettuce leaves with optional toppings.
