Delight in these flaky puff pastry turnovers filled with sweet and spiced apple filling, perfect for a quick dessert or snack.
Ingredients
Filling

apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced

Pastry

frozen puff pastry, thawed (2 sheets)

Instructions
Mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch until well coated. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out pastry and cut into 4 squares each.
Place 2 tbsp filling in center of each square, fold into triangles, seal edges, and crimp with a fork.
Brush turnovers with beaten egg. Bake on parchment-lined sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
Notes
Ensure not to overfill the turnovers to prevent spilling during baking.
