Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs, apple sauce, buttermilk, and vanilla.
Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.
Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and powdered sugar. Add half & half to reach desired consistency. Frost cooled cake.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature ingredients and do not overmix the batter.
