Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the apple filling by tossing sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Make the dough by combining flour, sugar, salt, and chilled butter until crumbly. Add ice water and mix until dough forms. Chill for 15 minutes.
Roll out dough and cut into circles. Fill with apple mixture, fold, and seal edges.
Bake cookies for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Prepare the cream filling by mixing brown sugar, butter, cream, vanilla, and egg. Drizzle over cooled cookies or serve on the side.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough thoroughly and use cold butter for flaky crusts.
