Delight in these flaky puff pastry turnovers filled with sweet apples and sharp cheddar cheese, perfect for a cozy snack or dessert.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Slice and soften apples; set aside.
Roll out puff pastry, cut into 6 squares, and top each with a slice of cheddar.
Add apples on half of each square, fold over, seal edges with fork, and transfer to baking sheets.
Brush turnovers with egg wash and bake for 20 minutes until golden and puffy.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Reheat leftovers in a 350ºF oven if desired.
Notes
Use a sharp knife to slice apples thinly for easier filling.
